McIntosh Group partners with acclaimed restaurateur Mister Nice to create a stunning Ci-Fi install in his new Mayfair restaurant

One of London’s most anticipated new restaurants gets a custom-installed sound system from McIntosh Group - combining the finest cuisine with the finest audio experience in the West End.

Mister Nice, a new fine elegant restaurant in the heart of London’s Mayfair, now plays host to a stunning new custom-installed sound system - developed by McIntosh Group and featuring McIntosh and Sonus Faber’s industry-leading audio and playback technology.

Mister Nice’s founder, Jean-Philipe Kley, carries a deep passion for creating delicious, beautifully presented dishes delivered in a sumptuous and luxurious setting. This dedication to quality is echoed in McIntosh Group’s devotion to the very best audio. A partnership between Mister Nice and McIntosh Group therefore presented an opportunity to truly elevate the restaurant-goers whole experience - showcasing excellence in both dining and audio entertainment at every level.

McIntosh Group designed a bespoke Ci-Fi system to seamlessly integrate with Mister Nice’s high-end decor. The system was installed by custom installation specialists New Land Solutions, and performed alongside the restaurant fitting to ensure each element blended perfectly with the restaurant’s interior design. The result is a cutting-edge, bespoke Ci-Fi audio system installation covering 16 channels of amplification across four separate zones, including the bar, a restaurant area over two floors, and kitchen.

For the main restaurant area, a McIntosh C53 preamplifier is supplied music from a Roon Nucleus and controls two MI 128 8-channel digital amplifiers, supplying the audio to eight Sonus faber Sonetto on-wall speakers. Beautifully finished in gloss black, the Sonetto on-walls were chosen for both performance and perfect matching of the restaurant’s interior finish. Downstairs in the semi-private dining space, the vinyl-based system supplies the perfect audio accompaniment for more intimate events. An MT5 turntable delivers audio to a MA8950 integrated amplifier, which in turn drives a pair of Sonus faber Olympica Nova III speakers. An additional pair of Sonetto II speakers replicates the audio from the main dining room, for a seamless musical experience around the entire restaurant. The result is a high-end audio experience that is the perfect match for any fine-dining experience.
